xlDuckDb is an Excel add-in that lets you write DuckDB SQL queries directly in spreadsheet cells and get results back as normal Excel data. You can query Excel ranges, JSON files, CSV files, Parquet files, and even remote data on HTTPS or AWS S3.
- The add-in works with Excel ranges, named ranges, and tables using simple syntax like =DuckDbQuery(A27,,A1:E25), plus you can query multiple ranges in a single query by passing them as separate arguments.
- DuckDB handles messy data formats automatically—it auto-detects CSV delimiters and data types, extracts nested JSON with JSONPath syntax, and efficiently queries large Parquet files that don't fit in memory.
- You can join data across multiple file types in one SQL query (e.g., combining JSON and CSV data with a CTE and INNER JOIN), making it possible to correlate disparate datasets without leaving Excel.
Teams often end up rebuilding the same runtime code—connection handling, retries, logging—in hundreds of standalone Python scripts. SeaTunnel fixes this by moving those concerns into a shared runtime and connector framework, leaving developers to define just the source, transform, and sink for each data pipeline.
- Hundreds of standalone Python scripts each duplicate the same runtime plumbing—connection setup, retries, logging, checkpointing, thread pools, error recovery.
- SeaTunnel separates pipeline definition (Source, Transform, Sink) from execution, letting its runtime handle connections, error handling, scaling and monitoring.
- A unified Connector Framework gives every connector (MySQL, Oracle, Kafka, S3, REST APIs, etc.) the same interface and lifecycle, so adding a data source just means plugging in a connector instead of rebuilding retry/thread logic.
Claude’s Cowork feature now builds live artifacts—dashboards and trackers—that link directly to your apps and files. Whenever you open one, it auto-refreshes to show current data without any manual steps.
- Claude's Cowork feature now generates live artifacts (dashboards/trackers) that auto-refresh with current data each time they're opened, instead of static snapshots
- Users just point Claude at data sources (Google Sheets, SQL databases, project management tools) and it builds the dashboard, handling authentication and refresh automatically
- Teams sharing one Cowork link all see the same live view, eliminating stale slides or outdated CSVs and reducing manual data wrangling
